Nearly two months ago I attended a sewing machine convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Janome was introducing new model sewing machines and other sewing/embroidery related products. My interest fell to two of the newest additions, the M7100 and the M7050. Their big sister, the M7200 boastsĀ 200 stitches plus an alphabet, while the M7100 is equipped with 100, and the M7050 is equipped with 50 stitches. Even though they have fewer stitches than the M7200, both models are also less expensive for our customers, and what they have to offer is very exciting.
These two machines both have Janome’s coveted automatic thread cutter, Easy Set Bobbin System, and one-hand needle threader. The M7100/M7050 are fabulous machines for the first time sewing machine owner, but also have enough features that they shouldn’t be easily outgrown. They provide the user easy access to the stitches, and have the essential features that you’d expect a good sewing machine to have, like needle up/down, tie off, etc. Anyone that needs or wants a little more machine can purchase the M7200, which would give them alphabets and memory for stitch combinations.
The M7100/M7050 machines are “regular” size sewing machines. Simply put, the M7100 and the M7050 machines provide the newest in Janome’s technology at an affordable price. In my opinion, this makes the two new machines, the M7100 and the M7050 a great choice for anyone looking to upgrade from a department store model, for someone purchasing a sewing machine for the first time, or for a new machine for the “seasoned” sewist.
