Janome sent an email out to dealers this week, asking us to please make sure our customers who have purchased a Horizon have registered their machine online. After the release of the Horizon Memory Craft 7700QCP, some customers found that they had difficulty sewing over ¼” seams on multiple layers with the ¼” Seam Foot O. In August, Janome released an official statement on their website, advising customers that Janome headquarters in Japan had began testing so as to alleviate this issue.
After some deliberation, Janome found that by creating a curved shape in the underside of the ¼” seam foot, this situation was resolved. As a result, Janome engineers developed a new ¼” seam foot, called ¼” Seam Foot O2. This specialized foot allows the machine to sew over all seams with accuracy and precision.
The new O2 foot will be shipped to each customer who has already purchased the machine and registered its warranty on the Janome website, free of charge. Janome has advised that these feet are expected to arrive very soon, and to remind our customers who have purchased a Horizon to register their machine by following this link:
Temecula Valley Sewing Center wants to make sure that all of our valued customers receive this replacement foot free of charge, so please register your Horizon if you have not already done so.
