How We Handle Manufacturers Defects
Merchandise with manufacturer’s defects should be returned within 7 business days of receiving your order. All returns must have a return authorization approval, obtained by calling Temecula Valley Sewing Center during normal business hours.
If customer purchased a machine and thinks it is defective, please make sure to read the owners manual, because it is very uncommon for our merchandise to be defective when new. In virtually 100% of cases where customers bring in a machine claiming it does not work, the problem is usually that the customer is not threading the machine correctly.
Temecula Valley Sewing Center will reimburse customers for the cost of return shipping if the merchandise returned is indeed defective. Temecula Valley Sewing Center reserves the right to repair or replace merchandise deemed to have manufacturers defects, and ship either the repaired merchandise, or the replacement merchandise, back to the customer.
If a machine is returned as defective but found not to be defective, the customer may elect to have a refund, but a restocking fee will apply. Please see the restocking fee section of this policy for more information regarding restocking fees.
If a machine is returned as defective but found not to be defective, the customer may elect to have the machine delivered to them once again, however, delivery shall be at their expense.
Orders may be cancelled before the order is charged to your credit card. Please be advised that in some instances orders may be charged immediately, and a restocking fee would apply. For more information on restocking fees, see the restocking fee section below.

Merchandise returned to Temecula Valley Sewing Center MUST be re-packed as it was when received, in its original packaging.
Temecula Valley Sewing Center will not be responsible for damage caused to merchandise being returned due to failure to properly re-pack the merchandise, or failure to repack the merchandise in the original packaging. Returned merchandise should always be shipped with insurance in case of loss or damage during shipping.
If merchandise returned to Temecula Valley Sewing Center has incomplete or damaged packaging, the merchandise may no longer be sold as new, and a restocking fee will apply. Please see the section below for more information regarding restocking fees.
No return authorizations will be given after 30 days from date of purchase.
Most orders that are shipped by Temecula Valley Sewing Center qualify for free delivery, and for those orders we pay the return shipping fee to the customer. We also pay credit card processing fees for payments made by customers, and a credit card processing fee if a return is made. For these reasons Temecula Valley Sewing Center does charge a restocking fee of 20% of the total purchase price of the item for any item returned.
Temecula Valley Sewing Center may also charge an additional restocking fee of 10% for any item that is returned where the packaging or item is used or damaged in such a way that the item cannot be sold as new.
The total amount of restocking fees that may be charged to you for returning an item is 30%.
