Are you tired of being poked by pins while you are sewing? In the last several decades, I have tried to eliminate pinning my projects because being constantly pricked with a pin is not only painful, it’s a nuisance.
Until just recently, we were limited to straight pins for pinning seams, bindings and bulky fabrics. Those ridiculous metal hair clips that have been on the market for half a century don’t make things any easier either. At Quilt Market, Clover Wonder Clips were introduced. Clover Wonder Clips are a great, painless alternative to pins, especially when working with heavy weight fabrics, piles (think Minkee or heavy flannel,) and various types of vinyl. Wonder Clips also work well with sergers.
Wonder Clips can hold layered sections of sewing projects such as handle connectors to handbags and piping without distortion. Wonder Clips can hold your quilt binding in place while you are sewing as they are easy to see and easy to find when dropped on the floor. The Wonder Clip bases are flat for easy feeding to your presser foot, and they are marked with 1/4″ (7mm) and 1/2″ (12mm) seam allowance markings.
Wonder Clips come in packages of 10 and 50. Temecula Valley Sewing Center has both the 50-packs and the 10-packs in stock.
